That name; I think meditite might also refer to mangnetite. It's a kind of rock that is -you quessed- mangnetic, even while meditite doesn't have anything to do with mangnets, mangnetite was said to contain mystic powers and in some cultures it was said to be created by some deities or gods. thus resulting in meditites spiritual nature.
