I'm not sure how to determine rarity, but I'm fairly certain this one is uncommon.--Shinbora 23:47, 30 September 2010 (UTC)

I have mentioned this in edit summaries and on other talk pages before, but the correct Hepburn romanization is Marakatchi, not Marakacchi. --SnorlaxMonster 14:29, 8 January 2011 (UTC)

The official spelling is Maracacchi [1] --nYoo 16:05, 23 January 2011 (UTC)
But that isn't an official site but a fan blog, and the blogger just named that card after its literal romanization, Ma ra ka cchi. Marakacchi is not its official spelling.----無限の知性DENNOUZENSHI 16:20, 23 January 2011 (UTC)
It is not a fan site, it's the official blog of the Card staff of Creatures, Inc. The filename appears to be in a standard format which the blogger didn't type themself, but rather copied from a central database of their intranet. Have a look at the directory listings [2] [3] and you'll see many filenames in the same naming format and you'll recognize many other official spellings that we already know. You are right that we have to be careful about filenames and I've seen wrong spellings of uploads on that blog as well, but those didn't have the naming format. --nYoo 16:33, 23 January 2011 (UTC)
Sorry my mistake. Kenhallow? Symboler? Mooland? Very interesting.----無限の知性DENNOUZENSHI 16:50, 23 January 2011 (UTC)
Much of these contradict the official romanzations we already have. We shouldn't trust picture file names. Both links are inconsistent with one another is well. One calls Gothitelle "Gothiruselle" and the other calls it "Gochiruselle". Suspicious... --ケンジガール 22:09, 23 January 2011 (UTC)
Is it really that hard to actually pay attention when you read what I write?! Can't you even spare a short moment to think about it before writing your response? The thing with "gochiruselle" is exactly what I referred to in my previous message here. One file is has the naming format "<card Set Code>_<Card No.>_<National Dex No.><name>" with the correct and official spelling of the Japanese name in latin letters (in this case "BW1_R028_576GOTHIRUSELLE.jpg"). It seems to be a filename they copied rather than typing them on their own while the other one ("card_1_gochiruselle.jpg") probably was typed by one of the people writing on the blog. I wouldn't usually trust filenames, even on official sites, myself, but the way these appear, they seem to legitimately contain the correct name spellings. (ONCE AGAIN, I am only referring to the ones in the naming format I mentioned before.) Would you please elaborate on what other "contradictory" spelling you believe to see there and why the other spellings you think of being official can be trusted (i. e. what official merchandise did they appear on)? --nYoo 09:12, 24 January 2011 (UTC)
Jeez... Sorry... Pendror and Buffron were some of the ones I was referring to. And I believe they are in the format you mentioned. As is Handsam. I don't have official merchandise with those romanizations but the person who moved them said it was official. --ケンジガール 10:01, 24 January 2011 (UTC)
Pendra and Buffalon were just assumed to be their official romanizations by some user(s).----無限の知性DENNOUZENSHI 15:11, 25 January 2011 (UTC)
Exactly. Many romanizations that we use at the moment are assumed by users (for example, I changed Ranculus into correct Lanculus yesterday). These filenames look trustable to me. --Maxim 15:21, 25 January 2011 (UTC)
Haven't we already seen that the filenames of the site in question have also used things like Purasuru (as seen here when the file was uploaded via url upload) for Plusle, and other contradictions. We've already decided before that we can't trust the card database, which this blog is a branch of. MaverickNate 03:39, 26 January 2011 (UTC)

Is this trivia worthy?

Maractus, as a fully-evolved Pokemon, does not learn Hyper Beam or Giga Impact. --Mackinz of SoulSilver (talk) 16:19, 10 December 2012 (UTC)

No, it's not because there are plenty of fully evolved Pokémon (such as Plusle and Spinda) who can't learn it as well. TheBlazikenMaster (talk) 16:21, 10 December 2012 (UTC)

XY Hold Item

Maractus' hold item is supposed to be Miracle Seed, can anyone confirm this? Trainer Yusuf (talk) 16:11, 6 February 2016 (UTC)
