In short, Japan stopped using "Pocket Monsters" outside of the katakana when R/S dropped, and at the same time Nintendo as a whole started up a consistent branding scheme that most people don't seem to notice (only with X/Y has this been changed (for the better)). Because of this, I believe we (and Wikipedia, and everywhere else) needs to rethink how we handle the game titles. There's a reason things like the albums refer to themselves as "Pokémon", and it's not to be "import friendly".
