Female Leopard

Liepard is more likely a feminine Leopard/Black Panther, having evolved from Purrloin which also has feminine traits.Bennell 14:18, 4 April 2012 (UTC)

It really appears to resemble a leopard cat much more closely than a regular leopard. --SnorlaxMonster 14:24, 4 April 2012 (UTC)

Leopards are far more known than Leopard Cats. Liepard just looks female and has evolved from a house cat pokemon.Bennell 15:39, 5 April 2012 (UTC)

Pokémon have been based on a lot more unique and subtle creatures in the past. Just because Leopards are more known than Leopard Cats, does not rule out the possibility. --Pokemaster97 15:43, 5 April 2012 (UTC)

Black Panther

I shouldn't say it slightly resembles a panther because it's not just the spots, it is also obviously the purple coloration.Bennell 14:25, 13 April 2012 (UTC)

On the name origin section...

Not that I really understand Greek, but shouldn't πάρδος be párdos instead of pardus? Rxhar (talk) 00:41, 11 August 2012 (UTC)

I'm no expert, but I'm guessing it's written like that because omicron is a short o sound, so it sounds more like an "us" (short u pronounciation, like the English word). "os" would be used when it's got an omega (long O sound). Upsilon (the one that looks like a u in lower case) has more of a Y sound. Alternatively, that could be the romanisation that has been used by Nintendo in Greece. Just as the romanisations used by Nintendo in Japan are often technically incorrect. Would be nice if a native Greek speaker could clarify. Werdnae (talk) 02:14, 11 August 2012 (UTC)
