I'm on Soul Silver and I checked every tree on the North side and North of the patch of grass within Route 36 and did not find this. Has anyone found this item and if so can you update the directions to the actual location?

Gen 2 pokémon data
I found a level 15 Growlithe in Pokémon Gold on this route. Currently this possibility isn't included in the Pokémon table. The table only mentions a level 13 Growlithe (which I can confirm is indeed possible). The reason I write here and not just edit it immediately is twofold:
- I don't know if level 14 Growlithe are a possibility too or just level 13 and 15. I will try to find one, but I don't know the memory address to check to be absolutely sure if I can't find one.
- More importantely, since Vulpix in Pokémon Silver is a similar encounter, I suspect there might be a similar missing possibility in the Pokémon table. However, I don't own Pokémon Silver, so I have no means of checking this. If someone could have a look at this, that would be very helpful.

- I watched these two videos of people searching for Growlithe on that route. It can definetely appear from level 13-15 on that route in Pokémon Gold, I'm going to go ahead and apply the same logic for Vulpix as well since it should have the same level range and update the table shortly. - In the first video they are actually standing on route 37 (despite it saying route 36 in the title). Second video is actually on route 36, but doesn't confirm the possibility of a level 14 growlithe. Secondly, (I also only just thought of this), both my level 15 growlithe and the level 15 growlithe in the second video were caught during the day, so could it be possible higher level growlithe are only possible during the day and not during the morning or night (similarly to route 37)? - Okay, I found a tool to look directly at the code. Turns out (if I'm interpreting it correctly) that my last suggestion was quite close to the truth. Apparently during morning and night only level 13 growlithe can spawn. During the day both level 13 and level 15 growlithe can spawn, but not level 14 growlithe. Moreover, something similar seems to be the case with route 37, where during the day both level 14 growlithe and level 16 growlithe can spawn, but not level 15 growlithe (unlike what's currently stated on it's bulbapedia page). Therefore I'll be updating both the route 36 and the route 37 pages to reflect this. Kobe (talk) 23:38, 14 November 2022 (UTC)
