Can anyone confirm the following dub names of trainers that participated in the kanto pokemon league? I think they're all listed in the closed captions.

  • Richie (Ritchie)
  • Asunta (Assunta)
  • Janette Fisher (Jeanette Fischer)
  • Pete Pebbleman

Thanks. I'd like to start some pages on them, but I don't want it to turn into another Jon Dickson. --Greengiant

Should we put Harrison on this page? He said after the Johto League he would participate here and considering Ash has been through Hoenn, Kanto again, and now halfway done with Sinnoh, I'm sure Harrison has already competed.

Suggesting a move

I don't believe it was ever called the "Indigo Plateau Conference" in the anime. It was always referred to as the Indigo League or the Pokémon League. But I think Indigo League is most appropriate. --ケンジガール 04:19, 8 April 2010 (UTC)

I watched that part of the anime, and don't recall the term conference coming up until Johto (and it confused me, because I thought a conference meant people in suits sitting around and talking). I'm fine with the move. —darklordtrom 07:41, 8 April 2010 (UTC)

A bit of a stretch

In the "Preliminary rounds" section, where it talks about the ice, water, grass and rock arenas, the comparison to the the Elite Four seems really far-fetched. Only the Lorelei-ice reference makes any rational sense- the rest sound like rough attempts to fit the given metaphor. "The Grass field could reference Agatha who, despite specializing in Ghost-types, owns several Poison Pokémon... the Water field could reference Lance, who owns a Gyarados and several [Pokemon] that are able to swim..." this evidence is unrealistically weak, and so I have removed the comparison. Is this a reference?

On the scoreboard during league matches, the two colors to represent the trainers are red and green. Is that a reference to the original Japanese Pokémon Red and Green? --PKMNAdventurer (talk) 18:30, 18 March 2017 (UTC)
