IMO, the nicknames section kind of makes things look cramped. It also kind of makes the article cross the line between providing useful information and being a triviafest. And the (necessary) all caps sticks out like a sore thumb and makes it look bad. But I'm mostly concerned about the cramping. What do you guys think? - [[User:System Error|System Error]]

All other gendered Pokémon in that column have them to denote which gender the Pokémon recieved is set to (all handheld games since [[Generation III]] fix the genders of the in-game trades; the only in-game trades post-[[Generation II]] that do not fix genders are those in Pokémon XD:  Gale of Darkness, which is the most recent main-series console game). == Two things... ==
1. Should the Red & Green / Red & Blue table really have ID and IVs columns if both are always random in the game? Same goes for the ID column for Yellow version. If the randomness of these stats is a crucial piece of information, shouldn't it at least be mentioned elsewhere on the page, and not in the tables themselves?

2. Do trades programmed into the game but are inaccessible by any NPC qualify as notable enough to be on this page? Obviously, they would need to be labeled as such.

In XY, the Farfetch'd, Steelix and Bisharp all have random IVs, except they each have one guaranteed to be 31 (Speed for Fartfetch'd, Defense for Steelix, Attack for Bisharp). On the other hand, Ralts and Shauna's Pokémon have their entire set of IVs fixed. (I don't know about Magikarp and Eevee, since I can't get those yet.) == Stadium and translating OTs ==

So, my understanding is that in European language releases, if a Pokémon obtained from an in-game trade is traded to a different European language game, the original Trainer "TRAINER" will be translated to that language (still in ALLCAPS). On the other hand, in European language Pokémon Stadium, the original Trainer "TRAINER" will instead be displayed in Title case, but still translated to the language of that game. This should indicate one of three things:
*Any Pokémon with the OT "TRAINER" (or its equivalent in any of the European languages) will have its OT translated when traded to another European language game.
*The OT is not stored as "TRAINER", but as something else, which is then converted into "TRAINER" in the game's local language (the most likely option)
*There's some special flag in the Pokémon's data that is only set for in-game traded Pokémon (the least likely option, since we've mapped the [[Pokémon data structure in Generation I|data structure of Pokémon in Gen I]])

The Dodrio trade from Crystal makes the point of catching a Lvl 10 Dragonair on Route 45 and trading that to get a Lvl 10 Dodrio. But if trading between games is included, then in theory you could catch a Lvl 10 Dragonair in Crystal, trade it to GS, then trade that in Blackthorn for a Lvl 10 Rhydon?

According to this page, all of the Gen I Pokémon, with a few exceptions, have the same held item as they would if caught in the wild. The exceptions are the Pokémon which evolve during that trade (which have the same held item as their evolved form would) and Krabby (which has TM13 instead of TM33). Could someone double-check that these actually are exceptions? == Other languages nickname/OT ==

The nicknames and OT of the in-games trades are different for every language.
Nicknames often are related to the Pokémon's name in the player's language setting and OT tend to be names from that language too.

I think adding an "other language" section to the page would allow to track those informations, but I can only give French names from my games.
I don't know the process to adding that kind of section nor were to find it for other languages.

Should I start adding what I know and people will follow up or should I try to compile the data on my side and post it all once I've found it all?
It would be great to have some feedback about this.

This section states that it is incomplete, I've become very familiar with Regina and her movements recently and can help answer any questions to complete the article. Is it possible to tag the user with the inquiry?

We all know her, most of you hate her. She trades you the Everstone Haunter.

What if i told you that the Everstone is a cover-up?

The Gen IV hacking community has tested in-game trading to trigger trade evolutions. First they tested Kadabra + Everstone, an odd combination that we know was a thing (Kadabra holding an Everstone and evolving regardless). Nothing happened. They then tested removing the Everstone. No trade was triggered. Furthermore, they tested evolutions involving held items like Metal Coat + Onix. Nothing happened.

As such, it's come to light that in Generation IV, Trade Evolutions simply do not trigger during In-Game Trades, and as such, Mindy's Haunter is purely holding that Everstone as a cover-up for these evolutions not triggering even when requirements are met.

Similarly, because BDSP has basically the same code as DPPt, as proven by many people digging in the code, it's safe to assume these don't trigger there either.

Additionally, we don't know '''WHY''' they just don't work in Generation IV, when in Generation I they worked fine. Mayhaps they had no time to fix it, mayhaps they just couldn't get them to work in time for release, so they slapped the Everstone on Haunter.

Eitherway, i think this page should mention that, because that will clear up some misconceptions about how In-Game Trades work for said Generation (people keep saying all they had to do was remove the item, when in reality all they really had to do is to first code it properly, then remove the item).

We probably need to add the memories from X & Y up through Sword and Shield. I don't have all the relevant info, nor do I know how to add it, but I'll put what I know here so someone more skilled than I can go onward. I don't know if ranks are important or if they can be modified, so I'll only put them there for pokémon I could get "fresh". I had to do weird formatting for what I didn't have, and the result is a little off, but it's better than ambiguity. I made an exception for Pierce, however. * Cash: With Mattia, Cash went fishing, but the hooked Pokémon got away! The Pokémon clearly remembers that it grinned.
* Candyfloss: Candyfloss went clothes shopping with Grazia. The Pokémon clearly remembers that it got lighthearted.
* Snips: Snips hatched from an Egg and saw Holly for the first time at a castle. The Pokémon definitely remembers that it got nervous.
* Fringe: Fringe saw Romeo paying attention to Impidimp. The Pokémon remembers that it got teary eyed.
* Masky: Masky used Astonish at Eve's instruction, but it had no effect. The Pokémon clearly remembers that it got emotional.
* Reddos: Reddos battled at Grimm's side and defeated Magikarp. The Pokémon fondly remembers that it felt proud.
* Mymo: Mymo was there when Edmund went to a boutique and tried on clothes but left the boutique without buying anything. The Pokémon remembers that it was restless.
