Don't you think...

...that we should mention in the article that this History is only canon to the Anime continuity? - Ericss 01:50, 15 January 2012 (UTC)

Timeline for just poketechnology

I'm not sure what order this is presented in... possible the order the episodes aired in? If we can get exact quotes ("centuries ago" v "thousands of years ago", etc.) I think we might be able to put this into some rough order. I'll have a go at that... ty (talk) 18:44, 30 May 2019 (UTC)

So about that '400 - 700 years' thing...

That was, to the best of my knowledge from the Apricorn page's history (first submission), determined by cross-referencing the time of the Brass Tower burning (700 ya) and the first Orange League competitions (400 ya), and has no basis in the core games - so shouldn't that be marked somehow?

I'm also unsure of the canonicity of Prof. Westwood developing the modern models in 1925, as this appears to come from the Pokemon Daisuki Club's Encyclopedia Pokemonica, which is (as far as I'm aware) a *fan* work. Westwood also appears in the anime and may or may not have created/programmed/written for the Pokedex, but I fail to see why this shouldn't be marked as potentially non-canon.

The reason I bring this up is because of Pokemon Legends: Arceus - with the new wooden Poke Balls, it seems like a more comprehensive history of Poke Balls in the games should be considered rather than accepting fanon and anime canon. - unsigned comment from Elementcollector1 (talkcontribs)

Apricorn?

It was stated in the Johto games that Apricorn Balls were the standard Poké Balls before the modern ones came. Why isn't there a section for them? - Golden Trainer (talk) 05:27, 29 June 2021 (UTC)

Rowan says he didnt have pokeballs when he was young

I don't know when he says this, so it needs confirmation, but at some point in DPP Rowan says that they didnt have pokeballs when he was young. Unlike Drake's case though, Hisui proves that pokeballs did exist before he was born, so there is probably a retcon or mistake there. Pallukun (talk) 22:17, 26 September 2021 (UTC)
