I think the design might actually be based on the grapefruit, since Grepa Berries are yellow and grapefruits are usually yellow on the outside. --Buzzfan120 (talk) 02:48, 9 June 2019 (UTC)

Possible Trivia Update

Though the English name is almost certainly based on "grape" or "grapefruit", I think the design and Japanese name are based on the abiu, a tropical fruit that, when ripe, looks nearly identical to the Grepa Berry. Skeletalecho (talk) 17:06, 27 January 2023 (UTC)
