Generation I activation

At least I didn't get the nickname way to work. I tried every starter Pokémon and gave the nickname " " (I understood that meant one space) and saw no distortion in Gary battle nor in a wild Pokémon battle. I used an English Pokémon Red ROM. So, could someone please clarify the method? UltimateSephiroth 22:38, 18 October 2008 (UTC)

This didn't work with me either, i tried both the Australian game (which i own) and the US ROM on an emulator and neither worked. (GT4GTR 10:29, 18 January 2009 (UTC))

Sprite Glitch Image Replacement

Why does the image need to be replaced? What's wrong with using the generation II image versus one from generation I?- unsigned comment from Joeshie (talk • contribs)

It was from generation II, where it can only happen via cheating device. An image where it occurs without a cheating device is preferred. I have now replaced it. --SnorlaxMonster 08:21, 26 April 2010 (UTC)

Another way to enter in the Glitch Dimension

When you have 7 pokémon (with ?????) in your Party and try to restore them in a Pokémon Center, the game will restart and you will enter in the Glitch Dimension. --Metang 02:00, 25 July 2010 (UTC)

Glitch dimension in European games

Hey, I tried performing the glitch-dimension-coin-case-thingy on my German versions (both Gold and Silver) and could not reproduce it. Is it possible it is exclusive to Japanese and US versions?--Afrael ^talk 17:40, 27 July 2010 (UTC)

The Glitch Dimension itself is present in all localizations of Gold and Silver, though the methods of triggering it aren't strictly the same for different languages (did the Machop, family cry/ Coin Case method freeze your game instead?). I haven't seen any differences between EUR English and US English versions in triggering it. --Chickasaurus 17:12, 28 February 2011 (UTC)

Please explain

Can some explain this to me- "This grass appears between the top of the grass and the water on Route 44." What grass and what water? 7777822 23:20, 27 February 2011 (UTC)

On Route 44 there's a section where there's a 1-tile strip of empty land between grass and water. The strip of empty land is hard to see because part of the grass is blocking it, but it's still visible enough that the grass doesn't look like it reaches the water. However, if you walk in that strip of empty land, your character will look as though he/she is walking in tall grass, and Pokémon can be encountered while walking on that strip of land. My silver went on glitch dimension right when I turned it on. How is this possible? Also, my gold, while cloning Pokemon just went on it too. "Gen 2 only"

So in the template/infobox thingy at the bottom, this is listed as "Gen 2 only", despite the fact that the article itself states that it can happen in gen 1. I can't edit the box, but I think that this should probably be corrected. --Pokechu22 (talk) 19:37, 14 February 2014 (UTC)
