While huge pages ''aren't'' a large strain on the server, they are a problem for those with slower internet connections, and certain browser/OS combinations. As a result, some of them have requested that it be split. However for it to be split, it would have to be decided that the resultant articles would all be a) Notable in their own right and b) sufficiently different. Most of the admins I've spoken to believe that it currently fails those tests.
