:I read somewhere that it maxes out after it's power has reached a value of 16 times it's original power (10). So that would mean after 5 turns it's power would reach 160 and in the next turn it would reset. [[Scyther]] can learn Fury Cutter. This being a Bug-type move with base power less-than 60, what would (should/etc) happen when a [[Technician]] Scyther uses this move? Would it start with an increased base power of <tt>10 × 3/2 × 3/2 = 22</tt> and double from there, achieving an attack power of whopping <tt>'''352'''</tt> at the fifth turn? :First off, STAB Doesn't Affect base power directly. It is multiplied at the end. Meaning that the first time Fury attack is used the Base power is effectively 15. As to how it affects base power, it depends on whether the game doubles the last base power used or doubles the listed base power or it might simply cap off at 160. I would say that it is probably the second one, but I can't say for certain. Here is a chart for the first two cases. Feel free to fix it if anyone finds some errors with my math. It's power is doubled here. Does this means that Fury Cutter can hit up to 320 of Base Power? If yes, it would have hit more than Explosion without any bonuses to power (also, Explosion as of Generation V doesn't halves Defense. : Power calculations for Gen VI using a Ninjask holding a metronome attacking and A Linoone defending. Both are at lvl 50 with Max stats, we'll assume Linoone uses a full restore every turn then the opposing trainer sends out an identical Linoone. So the math looks like D=({2*50+10}/{250} * {156/124} * [base power] +2)*M we'll solve for final modifier and final damage. Fury cutter applies to the base power (I think) in the equation which is why technician applies only on turn one.

== PBR bug? ==

Is there a glitch in [[Pokémon Battle Revolution]] where the power doesn't reset if you switch to another move then back to Fury Cutter? :[https://clips.twitch.tv/AdorableEndearingPenguinOSsloth Here's a clip for proof]: as you can see Cresselia has only done 54 damage over two Fury Cutters, then uses a different move before using Fury Cutter again for 78 damage. Relevant damage calcs:
* 10 power: Possible damage amounts: (18, 18, 18, 18, 18, 18, 20, 20, 20, 20, 20, 20, 20, 20, 20, 22)
* 20 power: Possible damage amounts: (34, 34, 34, 34, 34, 36, 36, 36, 36, 36, 38, 38, 38, 38, 38, 40)
* 40 power: Possible damage amounts: (66, 66, 66, 68, 68, 70, 70, 70, 72, 72, 74, 74, 74, 76, 76, 78) 
:Interestingly enough, the article currently states not until Gen V that "If another move is selected, Fury Cutter's power will reset." However, the article still says that Fury Cutter must be used "successively." We need to clear up the mechanics before Gen V. Also, I believe the power does reset if a different move is used and misses, but I can't confirm this right now.
