Page title

Why is this page titled Meister (Sinnoh), not just Meister? --Maxim 17:44, 22 June 2008 (UTC)

About the 'dex entries...

Would it be a good idea to add translations of the foreign 'dex entries of the pokemon which one can collect them for to this page or not?- unsigned comment from Wikid (talkcontribs)

Actually, looking at Pikachu's Japanese one... it's the Japanese Blue/LeafGreen entry. TTEchidna 07:11, 12 July 2008 (UTC)
And Magikarp, for German and Japanese. TTEchidna 07:13, 12 July 2008 (UTC)
In fact... That seems to be the case for them all. They're the LeafGreen entries, at least in Diamond. Can someone with a Japanese DP confirm this for the English-language Pokémon? TTEchidna 07:15, 12 July 2008 (UTC)

I added Italian dex entry (except for Ekans, Staryu and Teddiursa, I haven't them) --CorsolaSplash 14:28, 15 September 2008 (UTC)

It's the correct one, right, as in, not the one that appears in the Italian Dex, but the one that appears in the English Dex from an Italian Pokémon? Or if you prefer, not the DP Italian Dex, but the LG one. TTEchidna 23:37, 8 October 2008 (UTC)
Serebii also mentioned that the foreign Pokédex entries are available for all Pokémon as of Platinum... ht14 13:08, 13 October 2008 (UTC)

If they're all LeafGreen, can't we just copy the Pokédex descriptions from the likes of Pokéwiki? — THE TROM — 20:16, 21 November 2008 (UTC)

Not *ALL* of 'em are from LeafGreen; while comparing/adding some remaining entries (mainly japanese), i've noticed that some of the japanese ones (namely Ponyta's) actually are from FireRed. So yeah...you'd have to double-check 'em first. InfinityByZero 21:06, 21 November 2008 (UTC)

What will happen to this article later on (Platinum-related)?

According to Serebii, Platinum will feature Foregin Dex' entries for *every* single Pokémon so far. So, my question is...what will happen to this page once the game's released?

Is there gonna be a new template for every Pokémon on Bulbapedia, for the sake of showing their Dex' entry on all of it's 6 languages, or something (granted, doing just that for all 493 critters' gonna take quite some time...)?

Some feedback on the matter would be much appreciated.

(On a somehow related topic, it'll be nice if someone could create a new, more streamlined template for the current article; with all the updates going on with most other templates here and there, the one used here could use some re-newing. Thank you so much for considering it.) InfinityByZero 02:09, 14 March 2009 (UTC)

Now that it is confirmed that all Pokémon can have foreign entries on Pokédex, what shall we do with this article and with other foreign entries? Will there be a place for them in the Pokémon articles? UltimateSephiroth (about me · chat · edits) 22:51, 15 June 2009 (UTC)
I decided to begin collecting the foreign dex entries, so until other decision is made, please fill every possible foreign entry here. UltimateSephiroth (about me · chat · edits) 21:11, 27 June 2009 (UTC)
Actually, all we gotta do is hop over to the other-language wikis and nab the Diamond entry. That's what Pt uses. TTEchidna 21:15, 27 June 2009 (UTC)
But where do we take the Spanish and Italian ones? Encyclopaediae Pokémonis doesn't have wikis for those languages, at least. UltimateSephiroth (about me · chat · edits) 21:19, 27 June 2009 (UTC)
It might be possible to try to find a regular over on an aspiring Spanish wiki that could possibly help us with the Spanish entries. As for Italian, we could try to do the same thing, but the destination would instead be an aspiring Italian wiki.
(For the record, both wikis in question run Creative-Commons licenses, and both include inter-wiki links to the existing members of Encyclopaedae Pokémonis. Yes, I know I'm plugging for two wikis at once...) --Shiningpikablu252 21:30, 27 June 2009 (UTC)
Okay, so we seem to technically have a source for all entries. Are there any plans how and when these will be added to the pages, or is it decided that they will not be added? This situation has been open quite a while, after all. UltimateSephiroth (about me · chat · edits) 21:36, 27 June 2009 (UTC)

I imagine we'll be showing the D/P (LeafGreen) and Pt (Diamond) entries for those in D/P right? Also, if we do keep them on their own page, might I suggest ditching the Meister page.--MisterE13 02:58, 29 June 2009 (UTC)

Ditching a page on an almost important non-player character? D: — THE TROM — 11:29, 29 June 2009 (UTC)
I meant for the list to ditch the page. It can still say The Meister is an NPC who does so and so... there would just be a link to another page with a full list of foreig ndex entries.--MisterE13 14:22, 29 June 2009 (UTC)

FR/LG

It might be interesting to note which Kanto remake the entries come from. Perhaps the colours of the languages' names?--MisterE13 15:04, 10 April 2009 (UTC)

Platinum content

I just added a section on the new platinum content, where all Pokemon can receive foreign entries in Platinum. However I just checked and my Magikarp German entry from Platinum is "Man sagt, es sel das schwāchste PKMN der Welt. Niemand weiB, wie es bisher uberleben konnte." instead of "Die urzeitlichen Vorfahren dieses Pokémon waren sehr viel stärker als ihre heutigen Nachkommen." Are all the existing Pokémon's entries different, since I don't have any other foreign pokemon that were available for entries in DP. If they are wanted, I am currently collecting as many foreign entries as I can on Platinum and will post any as I get them.Link 15:34, 30 May 2009 (UTC)

Problems Trading?

As we know, Meister asks a Finneon for trading.

We also know that Meister lives in a place with water all around (an island).

And Finneon is able to learn Surf (the only way to get there).

So, imagine we have the following situation:

We have a team with, for instance, Abomasnow, and it knows Rock Climb, and Finneon, that knows Surf.

Then you go to Meister's house and trade your Pokémon for his Magikarp.

You don't have Exp. Share and you don't have Rare Candies either. You can't evolve your Magikarp in order to get a Gyarados and teach it HM03.

You save your game.

So, are you stuck there forever? Gabriel Rocha (Diby esp) 22:04, 13 July 2009 (UTC)
