STAB status of Bite

Please note that in RBY, Bite is Normal, so it is marked as a STAB move, while in later games it is Dark, so it's marked as STAB for an evolution (in this case - Umbreon). User142 (Talk) 16:27, 14 June 2006 (UTC)

Hey, does anyone have XD? There are evolution items for Umbreon and Espeon in that game instead of Happiness evolutions. Does anyone know what they are? They should problably be listed here. --Zeta 19:06, 28 September 2006 (UTC)

I think they were Sun Shard (Espeon) and Moon Shard (Umbreon) Xanhawk

Generation II evolutions

Say, in XD, does Eevee need to hold the Sun/Moon shard and level up to evolve? or simply be exposed to them like a stone? MK 15:34, 9 January 2007 (UTC)

Hold and level up. Tom Temprotran 09:36, 10 January 2007 (UTC)
Does it also require happiness to be maxed? So many sites have conflicting information regarding them in XD. MK 13:07, 10 January 2007 (UTC)
No, just stick it on and level up. --Argy 18:46, 10 January 2007 (UTC)
All you need is to have the shard with you. Eevee doesn't have to be holding it. -Happy Mask Man 19:18, 10 January 2007 (UTC)
Wrong, Eevee does have to be holding the shard to evolve. Jake30502 15:03, 25 June 2007 (UTC)
Is the items Sun and Moon Shard capable of veing transferred into R/S/FR/LG/E? ht14 03:15, 19 July 2008 (UTC)
No. --ケンジガール 03:16, 19 July 2008 (UTC)
Have you tried it though? I wonder why not though...do you have to evolve your Eevee when you get the item? ht14 02:07, 22 July 2008 (UTC)

The shards are Key Items. Eevee can't hold it. About the happiness, yes it needs to be maxed; but it's already maxed at the beginning of the game.--Nostalgia 00:52, 11 December 2008 (UTC)

More Evolutions

Are they planning to make Eeveelutions for every single type? --User:Theryguy512 3:58, 29 May 2007 (UTC)

Probally yes. I was thinking about this. Haruka uzumaki File:Ani038MS.gif 17:54, 2 November 2007 (UTC)
Probably will. In four generations, we've gotten seven, one more and we'll have half of all of the types (not counting Normal, but I doubt we'll get one of those). If they're going to 1000, they'll likely go for 16 Eeveelutions. --TTEchidna 02:10, 29 May 2007 (UTC)
Well, Eevee is a normal type, so they probaly won't make a normal type Eeveelution --User:Theryguy512 12:20, 30 May 2007 (UTC)
It should be noted that every Eeveelution type has been a special type; the only remaining special type is Dragon, however I don't doubt they'll make more. Eevee's so popular. MK 08:18, 30 May 2007 (UTC)
And don't forget, there's no distinction of physical or special by type anymore anyway. --TTEchidna 16:23, 30 May 2007 (UTC)

it might be possible that if they remake gold/silver, a dragon type eevee may be able to evolve in the dragon den - unsigned comment from Darkcloud1111 (talkcontribs)

Do The Eeveelutions Still Have A High Stat?

Are The Eeveelutions Still Following The Stats Where A Certain Evolution Has The Highest Stat Compared To The Family? For Example, Vapoureon Has The Highest HP Stat Tha All Of The Rest; Jolteon Has The Highest Speed Stat Than The Others. - Tesh -

Look at their base stats. They're the same totals, they're just different as far as focus, so yes, all of them have one stat higher than the rest. --TTEchidna 04:35, 27 June 2007 (UTC)
... except there's six stats and seven Eeveelutions, meaning two had to specialize in the same thing. Apparently, it's the Special Attack ones. --Pie ~ 05:26, 27 June 2007 (UTC)
Which is what I meant by focus, since although Espeon and Glaceon both have the 130 in Special Attack, 95 in Special Defense, and 65 in HP, Attack, Defense, and Speed does differ. So really, if they do make nine more Eeveelutions, many will share the strongest stats, but there'd still be room for base stat variance. --TTEchidna 00:48, 28 June 2007 (UTC)

help

dos anybody know if i beat collaseum and trade umbrion and espieon can i mat one of the with a nother pokemon a couple times and get the othe evvealoution

No, since they're both male. Also, if you want help, try typing like someone over the age of 3.

Ditto. And I agree, try typing like you know English. Dammit, you people are the reason that the school systems are failing. TTEchidna 05:47, 21 September 2007 (UTC)

Name origin - Eon

"Eon also means a very long time, which is how long it takes for Eevee to evolve without the aid of an evolutionary stone"

but in Generation I Eevee cannot evolve without stones! can I remove this sentence? --Valepert 21:02, 10 November 2007 (UTC)

But that's ONLY in GenI. Why remove it? Don't remove it, as it explains why it's called "Eon". ><  Tina  21:05, 10 November 2007 (UTC)
Even then, it doesn't take an eon to evolve without a stone. You can have a level 2 Espeon or Umbreon. TTEchidna 22:54, 10 November 2007 (UTC)
Thinking about it eon could refer to the amount of time it takes a regular species to evolve, and since Eevee is so adaptable it could be that it represents eons of evolution (as it has mastered in some way). If you can make sense of that it may help. --XXpxWoodland:MXXpx 20:29, 1 December 2007 (UTC)
Don't forget that Pokemon in the games have a level cap. Theoretically, if there were no level caps Eevee would evolve eventually. User: Kyle95 December 20, 2008 (UTC)

Palindromes

How many palindrome pokémon are there? I only know of two, Eevee and Girafarig. If those are the only two, might their trivia take note of the other?

Also, I joined just to ask the above question. Why doesn't bulbapedia allow anon to edit? Zeek Aran 05:41, 4 June 2008 (UTC)

Also also, can someone post in my user page so my name turns blue? It bothers me. Another question, why doesn't bulbapedia allow User page edits? I get "You do not have permission to edit pages in the User namespace." Zeek Aran 05:44, 4 June 2008 (UTC)

1. 3 Pokémon names are palindromes (Eevee, Girafarig and Ho-oh)

2. Use Proper GrAmmAr.

3. It's been answer 4,000,000,000,000 time, And I can't be bothered making it the 4,000,000,000,001'th time.

--Force Fire 05:47, 4 June 2008 (UTC)

Hm. Good greeting. Please tell me how my grammar is improper. I see I could have put a colon or semicolon on my second sentence instead of a comma, but what else? Zeek Aran 05:50, 4 June 2008 (UTC)

Pokémon. Not pokémon. Capitalize. Bulbapedia. Not bulbapedia. It's the Θρtιmαtum♏Talk|Links05:52 4 Jun 2008
Is that all? Do you get on to everyone who doesn't capitalize pokémon or site names? Zeek Aran 05:55, 4 June 2008 (UTC)
It just makes it proper, Pokémon is a name of a Tv show (Or something), and Bulbapedia is a name of a site, Both being N-O-U-N-S (Nouns). --Force Fire 05:57, 4 June 2008 (UTC)
Pokémon is the name of a manga, series of video games, and anime. It's also the type of creatures in those. One doesn't call a scarab a type of Beetle, but a beetle, so I thought pokémon would sound proper enough. You don't capitalize nouns. You capitalize PROPER nouns. Zeek Aran 06:02, 4 June 2008 (UTC)
I don't really get it, either... but it's official policy that Pokémon is capitalized. It doesn't matter as much on talk pages as in the main namespace, but like with other sorts of proper grammar, it makes it look more like you know what you're doing. --Martonimos((Talk)) 06:26, 4 June 2008 (UTC)
It's Pokémon because it IS a proper noun. Why? It's a species of imaginary creatures. Imaginary. Name. Name. Proper Noun. It's the Θρtιmαtum♏Talk|Links07:05 4 Jun 2008
Why is everyone talking about grammar? I thought this was about palindromes! User:Thermorules123 02:57, 26 Dec 2008
I see, I now have the power to make people go of-topic..... And by the way, Nouns do need to be capital too, A noun is A place (London), a name (Andrew) and A thing (Ball, Not really necessary to capitilize though) --Force Fire talk 15:07, 26 December 2008 (UTC)
You only need to capitalize names. User:Thermorules123 03:35, 26 Dec 2008

Super Smash Bros. Brawl

I removed the bit about Eevee appearing in Brawl and evolving into one of its seven evolutions. Simply put, Eevee does not appear out of a Poké Ball in that game. Nor do its evolutions. ~$aturn¥oshi THE VOICES 15:02, 4 June 2008 (UTC)

Interesting Fact

Should it be noted somewhere that eevee's original evolutions (vaporeon, jolteon, flareon) are immune from damage by their own type because of their special abilities. Vaporeon=water absorb, jolteon=volt absorb, flareon=flash fireDarkcloud1111 07:20, 7 September 2008 (UTC)Darkcloud1111

Evolving into Leafeon and Glaceon

I thought when an you want to evolve Eevee into Leafeon or Glaceon, you had to be in the same patch of grass as the Mossy Rock or Frosty Rock. The information on doing so, at least in Eevee's article, says you just have to be in Eterna Forest or Route 217 to do it. So, which one is true? Superbreeder What's up? 00:09, 22 October 2008 (UTC)

You just need to be on the route. Luna Tiger * the Arc Toraph 01:11, 22 October 2008 (UTC)

Level Up Evolutions

Does anyone know what happens if you level up a happy Eevee in (say) Eterna Forest during the day? Does the location or happiness evolution take precidence? In this example, would you get a Leafeon or an Espeon? I don't have the games so I can't test it. Werdnae 02:49, 22 November 2008 (UTC)

That is a pickle. I guess it would make sense to say the evolutionary path would be chosen at random with a 50/50 chance of getting Leafeon or Espeon.Bttsstewart 04:55, 8 December 2008 (UTC)Bttsstewart
Hey, that sounds like a fun theory to test. I'll get back to you. — THE TROM — 05:04, 8 December 2008 (UTC)
Location takes precedence. I tested it. TTEchidna 05:08, 8 December 2008 (UTC)
Aw man! TTE spoiled my fun. Maybe I'll just do it anyway.THE TROM — 05:12, 8 December 2008 (UTC)
However, what if you evolved two happy Eevee right on the border between day and night, at the same time through the same battle. One initiates evolution sequence before the time period switches, the other initiates after (DS closing may be involved). TTEchidna 05:13, 8 December 2008 (UTC)

Eterna Forest has a sign inside it claiming that it is "The place where time stands still". I think this is trying to hint that Umbreon/Espeon aren't possible to obtain inside it. Not sure about the conditions for Glaceon though, just thought it was interesting to note =) --[[User:Improv|<font color="green";>Improv.</font>]] <small>''([[User talk:Improv|<font color="red";>talk/font>]])''</small> 22:16, 28 December 2008 (UTC)

I'd always taken this to mean that it referred to it being an eternal forest, but this is also promising... As much as I hate trivia, this is kind of ok! I'll add it to the Eterna Forest article if it isn't already there. — THE TROM — 08:19, 29 December 2008 (UTC)
So does this mean that the same rule applies to Route 217, where Glaceon evolves? --Charmander -(talk or stalk!) 03:43, 13 January 2009 (UTC)
Because if it is, that information should be added to the page. --Charmander -(talk or stalk!) 03:47, 13 January 2009 (UTC)
Yeah, if you evolve your Eevee OUTSIDE on Route 217, it will become a Glaceon. Indoors (Rare Candy inside a house when happiness is max'd) it takes the Espeon/Umbreon route. Same with Eterna Forest (the forest area where Moss Rock is) vs the exterior area accessed via Cut. TTEchidna 18:33, 22 January 2009 (UTC)

Catchable, but no attacking moves...

Is Eevee the only one that does this? When you catch it in DP from the Trophy Garden, all four moves it has are status moves. Does anything but the four cocoons and Abra have this... hindrance? TTEchidna 18:34, 22 January 2009 (UTC)

Ralts in DP only has Growl when chained. — Laoris (Blah) 18:45, 22 January 2009 (UTC)
That is, if you get a chain of level 4 or level 5 Ralts. Level 6 would know Confusion. — Laoris (Blah) 18:48, 22 January 2009 (UTC)
...Ditto... ht14 03:35, 24 January 2009 (UTC)
Not so sure how much Ditto would count, as Transform could potentially gain it attacking moves. Eevee and Ralts, though, sure. I'm Missingno. Master. Come see my new and improved user page, and tell me what you think! 03:37, 24 January 2009 (UTC)
Good point...that means Smeargle could be scratched out as well... ht14 03:41, 24 January 2009 (UTC)

Pokémon Yellow

Is there a condition(s) which determine which of the three possible evolutions that Blue's Eevee has? If so, what are they, and should they be added into the article?--Ggled 21:43, 20 March 2009 (UTC)

They're listed on Blue's article, and no, it should not be added to this article. - Kogoro | Talk to me - 21:48, 20 March 2009 (UTC)

Information that I'm sure if it is true or not, need confirmation

I think that it may be possible to breed one with one of the moves that has the same move type as one of it's evolutions by raising two Flareon's with Flamethrower, or something. Two Jolteon's with Thunderbolt, etc.--Tmwps 11:06, 21 March 2009 (UTC)

Only if the Eevee can learn those attacks too. And we don't list moves that can be indirectly passed down by TM unless they are in the internal coding of the game. — THE TROM — 11:08, 21 March 2009 (UTC)

Steps listed incorrect?

I've been breeding Eevee in Platinum, and my eggs have been taking 10,200 steps to hatch, where the article lists 9180. Can anyone else test this? Seraph
