Rivalry

Is it really a rivalry with Kuitaran? I'd think an ant vs anteater situation would be more of a predator/victim relationship, rather than a rivalry as Seviper/Zangoose is. Aianto seems to be just prey, with a distint disadvantage, limited ability to counter attack and no evolutionary countermeasures unlike Zangoose. Or am i just getting too deep into it? I agree. I see it as a predator and prey relationship, not only due to their typing but also their movesets and origins. - 050294 05:46, 5 November 2010 (UTC)
Not to get technical with competitive play, but Aianto is more likely to KO Kuitaran with Dig if not severly injure it before getting roasted. If Kuitaran took Stealth Rock damage prior to entering it's pretty much dead if it stays in the turn it gets hit with Dig. Other than such a situation then yes, Aianto is pretty much Prey and Kuitaran is pretty much Predator, but even with the typing it doesn't really mean it's a severe disadvantage by all means... Name Orgin

Hey you never know that this name could be named after NBA Basketball Player Kevin Durant. proof? the names are spelled the same way.- unsigned comment from Woody72691 (talkcontribs)

And besides the name, what do they have in common? And Kevin isn't the only person with the surname Durant. --SnorlaxMonster 14:51, 2 May 2011 (UTC)

he has been coined a nickname that involves another insect. Durantala. Why do you mods always ruin the fun, we can never make a edit that makes sense without proof that's unreasonable. Nintendo nerds.- unsigned comment from Woody72691 (talkcontribs)

Here at Bulbapedia, we take pride in that label. If our standard of quality bothers you, go troll somewhere else. --AndyPKMN (talk) 16:48, 2 May 2011 (UTC)

A note

It looks a lot like Titanic Ant from earthbound [1]DeadUniverse Hello! ♢ 19:58, 22 May 2011 (UTC)

Antric

Before i discovered Bulbapedia, i was mostly on another fansite, Marriland. Marriland said that he had heard that there was a 5th generation Pokemon in Movie 12 called Antric. Due to Movie 12 featuring only the pokemon from Gen IV and before, the fact that Durant was revealed to exist later than a lot of other Pokemon, and the fact that Durant has not even been planned for the anime yet, this Antric needs some light shed on it. I only put it on this page because the Pokémon it seems close to is Durant. - unsigned comment from EvilKirikizan (talkcontribs)

Link? This probably would have been better suited for Talk:M12. --SnorlaxMonster 13:55, 6 June 2011 (UTC)
Here. It was April Fools joke, and that Antric was said to be Bug/Electric type, so it's unnotable. But maybe we can mention it here?--Den Zen 14:00, 6 June 2011 (UTC)
Hm. It appears that i didn't look at it too closely - or that that happened years ago and i signed onto Bulbapedia recently. So, it's good that that's cleared up! (note: feel free to call me stupid for saying that it was the WRONG MOVIE!) EvilKirikizan 22:45, 7 June 2011 (UTC)

Trunt

Shall we add the rumors in the internets into trivia, which the dream world ability "truant" is related to its kanto name share the same sound as lazy (アイアン / らいだ) and truant can also be translated to "true ant". Gspbeetle 08:27, 14 August 2011 (UTC)

First of all, you can't add any trivia right now, and secondly, no rumors should be made trivia, especially things that don't come from an official source.SONICバリヤ 07:26, 29 August 2011 (UTC)
I don't really understand what you're trying to say. アイアント does not sound like らいだ. --SnorlaxMonster 09:21, 29 August 2011 (UTC)

Abilities

Maybe we should add that Swarm and Hustle are a reference to ants living in large colonies and each being hardworking, respectively. Truant could also be a reference to the irony of a lazy ant. What do you think?(O++O) Dralcax (talk) 01:28, 14 December 2012 (UTC)

highest bmi

if we were to work out the bmi for all the pokemon like we would a human as in weight divided by height and then that number divided by height again durant would have the highest bmi (366.7). I think that should be mentioned in the trivia. 0danmaster0 (talk) 12:50, 20 July 2013 (UTC)

No. BMI is only for human(oid)s.--Den Zen 13:08, 20 July 2013 (UTC)
