OK, couple of things

First of all, there's no proof that the Mamoswine in this episode is Dawn's. Second of all, there's CERTAINLY no proof that there's a Piplup in this episode at all, least of all Dawn's! We seem to be treating Piplup as a second mascot or something because it spends a bit of time outside its Poké Ball, and I don't like it. It's more like Jessie's Wobbuffet (which, may I remind you all, does NOT appear in every episode!) than Ash's Pikachu. I'm Missingno. Master. Actually, looking at all past DP episodes, Piplup is the second mascot; Wobbuffet has appeared since Johto and has an extremely high chance of appearing; and the title has Mamoswine in it, that should say something, once the trailer comes out, we'll see. --PsychicRider 12:05, 6 March 2009 (UTC)
Piplup is the second mascot. Get the hell over it already. With you and Shiningpikablu252, it's more about the fact that you don't like Piplup and believe that it is going to evolve then about actual fact. --ケンジガール 22:19, 6 March 2009 (UTC)
No, no, I like Piplup. What I DON'T like is the writers' shameless attempts to turn it into a second mascot. I'm Missingno. Master. See my new and improved user page, and comment on it! 12:21, 8 March 2009 (UTC)
Enough talk about Piplup before this becomes its new talk page. Piplup's a main character, and the Mamoswine (was that what this started on?) will most likely be Dawn's. ElectricArbok 16:38, 9 March 2009
Well they could always trick us and be referring to a different Piplup or Mamoswine. (Remember the good 'ole episode EP091???) --Theryguy512 11:07, 10 March 2009 (UTC)
But still, EP091 is about Misty's Psyduck, not someone else's. The title is for Dawn's Mamoswine, not a wild one. Ҝəυzø8 11:43, 10 March 2009 (UTC)
I very strongly agree with MissingNo master, as every new episode guide always states that Piplup will appear even though sometimes (18 eps in total) it doesn't. Stupid Piplup. Dawn's one disgraces the Piplup species. I started with a Piplup, and it evolved on the second day, rather than, like, one and a half to two years. It left my team occasionally to make room for new Pokemon, notably Murkrow (now a very powerful Honchkrow, and my flyer) and Gible (who I became obsessed with training). Also, even though I love my Empoleon, Honchkrow is my main man, but even then I don't consider Honchy my mascot even though its on my team most of the time (my Aerodactyl takes over sometimes).

But the writers have turned Dawn's Piplup into an agenda - something that has to be there, and do the usual things - Just like Ash's Pikachu. This is why I prefer the original, classic series of the anime, where things are different and quirky. I'm really not very fond of the Diamond/Pearl cartoons apart from the movies which are very good, and after hearing about DP118, a pathetic remake of That's Just Swellow, I think I'll give up on the Pokémon cartoons altogether and stick to the games. Unless Piplup evolves. Which it won't. Unless it does. Which is unlikely. In DP118 they could have at last made it so Staraptor lost the contest as a twist. But no...

Oh, and by the way, I'm pretty sure its Dawn's Mamoswine as its getting a little featured spot now and again. I think Dawn's Mamoswine is the best thing that's happened to D/P, as it is so out of Dawn's character, just like most Pokémon should be (like Ash's Muk). --Dusknoir477 18:00, 12 March 2009 (UTC)

So it says dawn is not seen on mamoswine after she asks it to use Ice shard? I just watched the episode and Dawn is on top of Mamoswine untill she dismounts even in all the attack scenes. It is hard to see dawn on top of mamoswine when it uses Ice shard but she IS there. I see no sceen where dawn is missing on mamoswines back. -- D558 06:41, 16 August 2009 (UTC)

Actually, she does disappear for a brief second. --HoennMaster 05:44, 17 August 2009 (UTC)
is it like a single frame or something cause she is on the scene when mamoswine charges its ice shard, the ice shard blocks her a little but she IS there -- D558 21:50, 17 August 2009 (UTC)
