Just wondering... is it smart to use kanji for the Japanese? Because in the games, everything is hiragana. I know it's not a big deal, but just to keep with the standards, maybe we should also provide furigana? -greengiant

I was trying to figure that out myself after looking at the Bodybuilder article. It didn't make any sense that the person who found out the Japanese name wouldn't have known its pronunciation, since the games don't even use any kanji except for yen. Ketsuban 00:00, 5 May 2005 (UTC)

Opinion

Adding trivia
In the Spanish version of Pokémon Crystal the Bugcatcher in Route 35 is named "Ángel1" which is weird, because I've never seen a trainer with numbers in their name. Should I add that? --EBnDr (Talk page ♪) 12:11, 30 June 2010 (UTC)

Gen I Sugimori Artwork
This picture was taken from a page of ポケモンひけるかな？ (Can You Play Pokémon?), a CD that came with a book containing music scores for the music from the game, which I didn't find an article about on Bulbapedia. Here it is for reference: English and covers, Info in Japanese, Some more info. This also brings to light Lance's Gen I Sugimori art, which isn't posted on Lance's article. Lunchbox, yes or no?
In the bug catcher's description, it seems like we are uncertain of wether his box is a lunchbox or a box to keep his bugs/Pokémon. Looking at the artwork, I think we can surely say that it's his Pokémon container. MannedTooth (talk) 16:11, 22 January 2016 (UTC)
