Learning from Gym Battles
is it good trivia to say that Ash used strategies similar to those he fought in previous gym battles? think about it; Palpitoad's poisoning is a link to his battle with Roxie, Leavanny using String Shot on Sawk's arms (his main asset) is a link to Burgh's Leavanny unbalancing Pikachu with the same move and finally Krookodile's Aerial Ace being a homage to his battle with Brycen, where Beartic also knew the move. Swarm
- Leavanny's Swarm ability not activating until it's health was low; is that an error? The Swarm ability is always active, regardless of health. - When a Pokémon with Swarm uses a Bug-type move, the power will increase by 1.5× if the user has less than or equal to ⅓ of its maximum HP remaining. Looking at the description, I believe the anime's portrayal of Swarm was correct. --Pokemaster97 18:03, 30 March 2013 (UTC)
