In a fit of maturity, however, Ash did not climb any trees or scream loudly at Aipom when his cap was stolen.

I love this sentence. :p --FabuVinny T-C-S 15:00, 30 November 2007 (UTC)
First thing I noticed about the episode. I was seriously thinking "he's not SCREAMING?!" TTEchidnaGSDS! 00:34, 1 December 2007 (UTC)
Heheh... well, it was a 300-or-so episode gap inbetween the Primeape and Aipom one... I guess he did get more mature. XDD; Tina δ 00:44, 1 December 2007 (UTC)
Yeah, really. Although, he didn't exactly send in a million postcards this time. TTEchidnaGSDS! 02:51, 1 December 2007 (UTC)
Yeah, I was about to say, shouldn't that be mentioned somewhere? As far as we know, he doesn't have any sentimental attachment to his AG or DP hats. --Dual 22:03, 7 January 2008 (UTC)

Do we really need the Japanese for "Ash's hat"? It seems a bit superfluous... Amadeus 18:02, 29 January 2008 (UTC)

This might be over a year old, but yeah, I think either Ash really is growing up (I do believe there's a maturity difference in his actions when you compare them, new episodes to old episodes, he is acting more maturely), or he just doesn't care that much about his newer hats... maybe this discussion should be continued, maybe we should discuss what we think should be added to the article concerning what happened.--X, PEACE TOTHE DRAGONS ANDTHE BEASTS 13:05, 20 March 2009 (UTC)

Duplica

Could somebody add about Duplica who also has the same hat as seen in Ditto's Mysterious Mansion? Nickvang 22:11, 9 March 2012 (UTC)

If the admins will allow it, I could upload this [image] and just put it in the trivia section. Frozen Fennec 22:25, 9 March 2012 (UTC)
Wouldn't be easier to Ask Kenji, since she is the head of the anime ? :p----DJWolfy 23:05, 9 March 2012 (UTC)

XY hat

I've noticed that hat has resemblance to the hat Pokémon Red wears since FireRed and LeafGreen. If I recall correctly, this never happened before. Marked +-+-+ (talk) 08:27, 3 July 2013 (UTC)

Red, you mean? True and interesting. I'll add it. Pumpkinking0192 (talk) 18:06, 3 July 2013 (UTC)

Why is the main picture of him not wearing his hat?

It makes no sense. It should be a picture of his hat, not a picture of Ash without it. Pikachu Bros. (talk) 13:40, 18 March 2014 (UTC)

Probably just so there's no conflict over which hat to feature. Jo the Marten ಠ_ಠ 13:45, 18 March 2014 (UTC)
Ah. Thanks for explaining. Pikachu Bros. (talk) 13:48, 18 March 2014 (UTC)

Ash's hat

The page is called "Ash's hat" and the first picture is one of him without his hat? Doesn't make much sense to me.- unsigned comment from MattySadler (talkcontribs)

Please refer to the above discussion.--ForceFire 03:00, 8 June 2014 (UTC)

Alola Flipped Hat

He has flipped his hat once for a brief moment in SM001. Please upload this image and add.

No hat

It seems really odd to me to have a page for Ash's hat while the main image showcases him without his hat. And yes, I saw the previous discussions, but I don't really think that reasoning is very sound. If people are really arguing that much over which hat to feature, then maybe the page should be protected or the editors involved be warned. But having the main image on a page be a picture that showcases the absence of the subject? That just seems really out of place. We don't have Ash's Pikachu's page with a picture of just Ash because we can't decide which image of Pikachu to use; we don't have Misty's page with a picture of Ash and Brock because we can't decide which image of Misty to use. That'd be ridiculous, and it's the same thing here. If anything, just don't have a "main image" at all. slimey01 01:32, 5 March 2017 (UTC)

I agree, also there shouldn't even be a discussion since it's standard here that we use the current generation of each move and all abilities et.c. Why not have his current hat as the first picture and then him without the hat bellow following all the other hats in their respective sections. Or like you said don't have any picture at all. --Raltseye prata med mej 01:47, 5 March 2017 (UTC)
Yeah, I didn't even mention that, but I agree that we should just use his most recent hat. That's the standard with pretty much everything else--use whatever's most current. slimey01 02:53, 5 March 2017 (UTC)
I do agree that the reasoning behind having no hat shown in the main image is rather silly. I think displaying the most recent series hat would be the best solution, though I also wouldn't mind having no picture at all. Anyone is welcome to implement this change if they feel inclined. --Pokemaster97 20:26, 5 March 2017 (UTC)
