While I do agree that Pokémon battles in the anime don't work the same way as they do in the game, I also know for a fact that abilities do work in the anime. Don't worry, I have no plan on reverting to my edit, I think a proper discussion should be going on before I do any of that stuff. Because after all revert edits don't solve anything.
