Swallow (Japanese: のみこむ Swallow) is a non-damaging Template:Type2 move introduced in Generation III. The Pokémon who are able to learn this move are also able to learn the related moves Stockpile and, with the exception of Munchlax, Trubbish, and Garbodor, Spit Up.

Effect

Generation III

This move will fail if the user has not used Stockpile.

Swallow will recover the user's HP depending on the amount of times the user has used Stockpile.

  • One Stockpile → 25% of the user's maximum HP
  • Two Stockpiles → 50% of the user's maximum HP
  • Three Stockpiles → 100% of the user's maximum HP

Generation IV and on

In addition to before, Swallow also removes any Defense and Special Defense boosts gained through Stockpile.

Pokémon Mystery Dungeon

Swallow restores 20HP for one Stockpile, 40HP after two Stockpiles, and 80HP after three Stockpiles.
