===Criticism===
===Criticism===
The repetitive nature of the games has led to some criticism.  While Chunsoft has, indeed, created several games for many famous franchises (including {{wp|Final Fantasy}}'s {{wp|Chocobo's Dungeon}}), not once has it even ''slightly'' changed the formula shown above. This leads to several critics saying that the Pokémon Mystery Dungeon series is "just another Mystery Dungeon game with Pokémon characters slapped on".

==Merger and rename==
In  April 1, 2012, Chunsoft was merged with [[:wp:Spike (company)|Spike]], and the company name is now Spike Chunsoft. [[Pokémon Mystery Dungeon: Magnagate and the Infinite Labyrinth]] is the first Pokémon Mystery Dungeon title developed and published after the company merger.
