Palkia is available in a special mission. Palkia's Spacial Rend distorts Almia, causing many strange things to happen, such as people warping when they pass through doors and fishermen fishing on sand or lava. While being captured, Palkia uses Spacial Rend to warp the capture location at timed intervals, causing effects such as flames or ice spurting from the ground.

When summoned, Palkia uses Spacial Rend to flip the stage perspective temporarily. The attack can also damage fighters that make contact.
