Actually I think this image fits here well enough.

The whole complex is the setting for the competition, not just this stadium. The old picture is perfectly fine.
+3
No need to show all the stadiums, just the main one. We've done that for Whirl Cup and Kanto Grand Festival for years, not sure why it's suddenly unacceptable. Check Silver Town for other stadiums.
+2
Battles take place in multiple stadiums, not just the main one. You can see those multiple stadiums in the old pictures.
+3
Replacing image. This one shows the stadium rather than the entire city.

→Trivia: Being the first isn't notable, only being unique is.

→Trivia: They don't mention the Pokémon whose flame is used to light the torch of the most recent League Conferences. We don't even know if a Pokémon's flame is used anymore.

The torch run is not part of the conference itself. It's an event leading up to the conference, just like the real life Olympic torch relay.
−3
That WAS the start episode, as the torch run began there.
m+3
Correcting the starting episode and details about the screening rounds. A loss in the screening rounds is elimination. Only the Round Robin Semi-finals permits a loss without elimination.
