Shota Kageyama

Shota Kageyama (Japanese: 景山将太 Kageyama Shota) is a video game composer who did work on the soundtrack for Pokémon HeartGold and SoulSilver, Pokémon Black and White and Pokémon X and Y. He is also known for his work in Luminous Arc and various other Capcom games. Outside of Pokémon, he was most recently featured as a part of the composition team in Super Smash Bros. Brawl.

On 1 January 2014, Shota Kageyama posted on his Twitter that he had left Game Freak. He noted that he’s “graduating” from the company after having spent the past 6 and a half years there and is branching out to do his own thing with his new company, Spica Musica.
