Pokemon: The Battle Frontier series is the ninth season of Pokemon. It has recently aired in Japan starting from Viridian City. This season will NOT feature Ash collecting badges again. Just like Pokemon Emerald, it will then instead feature him collecting the Frontier Badges.

As for May, nothing has changed for her. Her Pokemon Contest is still being shown in this season. It is still unknown on how many episodes this season will have. Not to be mistaken, it will end when Ash has collected seven Frontier Badges, and move on to bigger things. Also, it is still unknown on how many Pokemon Contests are there.Maybe five or eight. Another thing that's unknown is how many ribbons May will collect so she can be required to enter the Grand Festival.

It is said that it will air in the United States as part of the 2006-2007 Kids WB! Saturday morning line-up during the summer of 2006. The season will begin with AG136, which hasn't aired yet, and it is unknown when it will end. Expect this season to come in the United States in June, July, or August.
