Rattled (Japanese: びびり Jitter) is an Ability introduced in Generation V. Eleven Pokémon have this Ability. This Ability is exclusively obtainable as a Hidden Ability.

Effect

In battle

Rattled raises the user's Speed stat one stage when hit by a Bug-, Dark-, or Ghost-type move.

Outside of battle

Rattled has no effect outside of battle.

Trivia

  • The types that trigger this Ability are all super-effective against Psychic-type Pokémon and can be associated with fear.
    • Despite this, no Pokémon that can have this Ability is of the Psychic type.
  • Ledyba is the only dual-type Pokémon able to have Rattled as its Ability.
  • Four Pokémon who can have the Ability are Normal type. Since Ghost attacks cannot damage Normal types, these Pokémon don't take the full advantage of this Ability.
