Coincidentally, Ash and his friends are visiting the city to see the park called [[Pokémon Hills]]. Sensing that the Genesect were created by man just like itself, Mewtwo sympathizes with their plight but resolves to defend the city from them no matter the cost. A terrible battle erupts between Mewtwo and the Genesect, forcing Ash, Iris and Cilan to team up with a park ranger and the Pokémon of the city to save it.
