Pocket World
Pocket World, once known as Pokémon World until the end of 2011; is an unofficial, UK-based, monthly magazine that gives out information about new games, including upcoming Pokémon ones as well as occasional articles on the Pokémon anime and the Pokémon movies among other topics. It also has sections showing debates from certain forums over different subjects sometimes dealing with Pokémon. In addition, there are sections for fanart, letters asking questions about subjects including the Pokémon games, pullout posters sometimes of Pokémon and characters, and fan-fiction.
There was a "Pokémon challenge" section in which people with a Pokémon game can battle a Pokémon World employee over Wi-Fi with the results printed in the magazine the following month.
As of June 2012 there are 130 issues, as well as various mooks containing collections of puzzles or Pokédex information previously published. The magazine is currently priced at £3.99.
Issues of the magazine often include free gifts, for example calendars, sweets and stationary sets.
Much of the magazine's information comes from Serebii.net, due to an agreement with the webmaster. There has been criticism of the magazine from some fans due to inaccurate or outdated information.
