→‎Gender differences: Aren't all Gen V sprites animated? The static ones on Bulbapedia and in the Pokedex are just a single frame pulled directly from the animated battle sprite, no?

-A female Pikachu has a v-shaped "dent" at the end of its tail. Male Pikachu do not have this dent. In Black and White, male Pikachu appear have less black covering their ear than the females', though this is only shown in the frontal static sprite. The animated sprite of female Pikachu have the same ammount of black covering as the male. The female static sprite was fixed in Black 2 and White 2 to match the amount with the male.
