Synopsis
The round picks up where the previous round ended, with a mysterious figure in an armor attacking Factory Head at the Battle Factory. The attacker looks through Noland's computer for a Pokémon he is seeking - the Pokémon that rises for seven days only after a thousand years of sleep - the Wish Pokémon, Jirachi.

Continuing off where the previous round left off, Factory Head is struck in the back of the head by a mysterious armored figure. The man begins looking through Noland's computer for the Wish Pokémon that is only awake for seven days after a thousand years of sleeping, Jirachi.

Meanwhile at the Battle Pike, Todd watches as Emerald's Blissey successfully uses Seismic Toss on Lucy's Seviper. However, Seviper then uses Poison Fang, Status ailment Blissey. Unfortunately for Emerald, he already used his last Pecha Berry in the previous room. Emerald decides to keep attacking, but Pike Queen switches to her Shuckle, knowing it has a very strong defense.
Back at the Battle Pike, the [[Todd Snap|reporter}} watches as Emerald's Blissey successfully uses Seismic Toss on Lucy's Seviper. Although knocked to the ground, Seviper begins using Poison Fang to release venom from its fangs. The venom hits Blissey, which Status ailment it. Lucy explains that unlike regular poison, which hurts a Pokémon every turn, bad poison increases the damage it deals every turn. Although Emerald has used up all of healing items in the last room, he decides to keep battling until Blissey runs out of health.

Emerald switches Pokémon too, choosing his Starmie. Starmie tries a Water move, but Shuckle blocks it with Protect, and poisons Starmie with Toxic. Emerald then orders Starmie to Surf, finally beating Shuckle. Lucy congratulates Emerald, but reminds him that his Pokémon is still poisoned, and his lack of any Pecha or Lum Berries is surely an indication of his current bad luck.
Emerald sends out Blissey to attack, but Lucy switches Seviper out with her defensive Shuckle. To counter this, Emerald switches out with his Starmie, who has an advantage because of it being Water. Starmie attacks with a Water-type move, but Shuckle blocks the move by using Protect to climb inside its shell. Shuckle poisons Starmie with Toxic, so Emerald finishes it off with a Surf. Lucy congratulates Emerald, but reminds him that his Pokémon is still poisoned, and his lack of any Pecha or Lum Berries is surely an indication of his current bad luck.

Emerald knows that his Blissey is already cured thanks to its Ability, and that Starmie can do the same if he retreats it back to its Poké Ball - but he also knows that the only Pokémon he has at full health is Rapidash, which will be at a huge disadvantage against Lucy's Milotic. He decides to keep using Starmie, and Lucy sends out Milotic. Milotic deflects Starmie's Psychic with Mirror Coat, weakening it, but just when Lucy thinks she won the battle and orders Milotic to use one more attack, Emerald surprises her with Thunderbolt, and both Pokémon faint.
Lucy suggests that Emerald switch Starmie out, since its Natural Cure will cure the poison, just like Blissey had done with its Natural Cure when it was switched out earlier. The reporter notes that if Emerald switches out to his fully healthy Rapidash, Lucy will just counter with her Milotic. Emerald decides to keep using Starmie, so Lucy sends out her Milotic. Emerald has Starmie fire a Psychic, but the attacked is reflected by Milotic's Mirror Coat with twice the damage. Emerald has Starmie use one last move, Thunderbolt, damaging Milotic enough to knock it out while Starmie also faints.

Lucy is now down to Seviper, and Emerald takes out his Rapidash, just as the other Frontier Brains arrive to watch. After poisoning the Fire Horse Pokémon, Seviper uses Giga Drain, winning the round. Emerald then brings out Blissey, ordering it to use Seismic Toss against Seviper's Crunch. Seviper is stronger and eventually Blissey collapses, to the cheers of the Frontier Brains. Lucy stops them, though, saying something's not right. A moment later, she realizes what it is - Seviper is on fire due to Rapidash's Overheat, and then faints, leaving Emerald the victor! Confused, Lucy eventually realizes that Blissey used Heal Bell and Softboiled to cure Rapidash while attacking Seviper. She congratulates Emerald on how "lucky" he was keeping this strategy from her for 140 rooms, and gives him the Luck Symbol. Emerald replies that he doesn't need it and tosses the Symbol away, but Todd grabs it and puts it in Emerald's pass, next to the Knowledge Symbol.
Down to one last Pokémon, Lucy sends out Seviper, while Emerald sends out Rapidash. The reporter wonders if Rapidash can win, as it doesn't have any countermeasures against poison. Scott, Arena Tycoon, Dome Ace, and Pyramid King arrive to watch Emerald lose to Lucy. They are shocked to see that despite Emerald's Rapidash being poisoned, Lucy is only down to her last Pokémon. Lucy has Seviper use Giga Drain, which damages Rapidash and forces Emerald to switch Blissey back into the battle.

Emerald then turns to Pyramid King and tells him he'll be taking on the Battle Pyramid next. Lucy tells him he can exit the Battle Pike from the back, but Emerald says he prefers walking the way he came in, and runs at that direction. Todd, suspecting there's something more to it, follows Emerald. Emerald simply explains that he wanted to talk to one of the maids. Todd first thinks Emerald is trying to hit on her, but he soon realizes that the maid is really Latias in disguise. Latias asks Emerald if there were any Pokémon that seemed suspicious, like the Emerald from the Battle Factory, and Emerald says there were - in rooms 18, 56, and 134. They decide to go back and tame them all immediately.
Blissey clashes against Seviper repeatedly, but is defeated after being smashed into a wall. Although the Frontier Brains are glad to see Emerald defeated, Seviper is suddenly set ablaze. The fire is revealed to be Overheat, which was used by a healed Rapidash. The attack knocks Seviper out, making Emerald the winner of the battle. Although confused, Lucy realizes that Emerald had Blissey heal Rapidash's poison with Heal Bell and give it some health with Softboiled. Lucy congratulates Emerald by praising his skill in keeping his strategy from her for over 140 rooms and gives him the Luck Symbol.

Emerald claims to not need the Symbol, but the reporter puts it in his Frontier Pass anyway. Emerald tells Brandon that he will challenge his facility next, angering the man by not using his name. Emerald prepares to leave in the same way he entered, but Lucy tells him that he can just leave through the back. Emerald decides to go through the entrance anyway and the reporter follows him due to guessing that Emerald has an ulterior motive for doing so.

Emerald reveals that he wanted to talk to a maid, which the reporter assumes as an attempt to flirt with her. The maid asks Emerald if he saw more suspicious-looking Pokémon like Emerald, but does so through telepathy. Emerald states that he did, and decides to go and calm them down with his E Shooter. Confused, the reporter asks what's going on and is shocked to see the maid's body flicker, revealing her to be Latias in disguise.
