The Last Battle II (Japanese: 最終決戦II The Last Battle II) is the 168th round of the Gold, Silver & Crystal arc in the Pokémon Adventures manga.
Synopsis
This round starts on the magnet train. Inside, Clair states that the Neo Team Rocket soldiers are controlled by another Gym Leader, and goes after Blaine in revenge of Lance. As they battle, the other Gym Leaders leave to help battle Team Rocket in the other train cars. In one of them, Erika realizes that Misty has feelings for Red, while Clair reveals to Blaine that Lance is her cousin. His father fell in love with a woman from Viridian City, and they were banished from the Dragon Clan. It also explains why Lance has healing powers.
After Clair aggressively attacks Blaine with her Dragonair's Outrage, he defeats her with Entei, revealing that Entei chose him for his partner. Blaine starts running, and Misty joins him in another car, while Lt. Surge tries to snap the Team Rocket Elite Trio out of their daze. He rips off their mask in a last effort, after which they regain their willpower and spirit for Team Rocket. Surge leaves the triad to break all the rest of the soldier's masks, and departs for Indigo Plateau.
