Oblivion Wing (Japanese: デスウイング Death Wing) is a damage-dealing Flying-type move introduced in Generation VI. It is the signature move of Yveltal.

Effect

Oblivion Wing inflicts damage on the target and restores the user's HP by 75% of the damage dealt.

If the user is holding a Big Root, the HP restored is increased by 30%. Big Root does not increase the damage dealt.

If the target has the Ability Liquid Ooze, the user will lose the amount of HP it would have gained instead.

Oblivion Wing cannot be used if the user is under the effects of Heal Block.

Trivia

  • Under completely normal, neutral circumstances, Oblivion Wing is more effective at restoring the user's HP than any other HP-draining move, recovering 75% of damage dealt with 80 base power (effectively recovering 60 base power's worth of damage).
It has been suggested that this article be moved to Dream Eater.
Please discuss whether or not to move it on its talk page.

has a higher base power at 100, but only restores 50% of damage dealt (effectively 50 base power's worth).
