(Added clarification for Raid Battles as I noticed my traded Pokémon kept obeying me despite lacking enough badges for obedience. This happened a long time ago too on Max Raid Battles. Added multiple sources that confirms this in both sets of games. This have yet to be tested on Let's Go (and Auto Battle) for Scarlet and Violet.)
