The Music Box is formed when the Rock Part, Ice Part, and Steel Part are joined together. These parts are obtained after defeating Regirock, Regice and Registeel at Buried Relic respectively. In Red Rescue Team and Blue Rescue Team, the Music Box (or its parts) must be carried in the player's Toolbox for their effects to function. The Music Box will crumble if the player attempts to use it. To create a new Music Box, the player must receive each of the three parts from each of the legendary giants again (if one is already recruited, its part will appear on that floor without any battle).
In Rescue Team DX, the Music Box is automatically formed when the three parts are obtained, and is no longer a carried item that appears in the player's Toolbox.
An enchanting music box that plays a beautiful melody. It is said to draw something special to it when it is kept close by.
Parts for the Music Box
All three of these Parts are required to create the Music Box. Separately, their only use is to be able to recruit the corresponding giant (a function that the Music Box can perform as well). If a giant has been recruited, its Part can be found on the ground upon entering the floor, with no fight required to obtain it. The Parts will crumble if the player attempts to use them.

An item that was guarded by Regice. It may be related to this saying about the Buried Relic: "Three parts are guarded by three servants. When they are one again, a mirage shall appear to the bearer."

While the three parts were simple pyramid-shaped prisms in the original, DX shows the individual parts within the prisms: the Rock Part is the drum, the Ice Part is the comb, and the Steel Part is the winding mechanism.
