A Movie Star (Japanese: スター Star) is a type of Pokémon Trainer that first debuted in the Generation V games Pokémon Black and White 2. This Trainer class is given to Gym Leaders who act in Pokéstar Studios movies.

Portraying the main opponents in each movie, Brycen uses Dark-type Pokémon as Brycen-Man and Fighting-type and Bug-type Pokémon as Mecha Cop while Sabrina uses Psychic-type Pokémon along with Grass-type and Fire-type props for her role as Bellelba.

Brycen made his anime debut in Guarding the Guardian of the Mountain!, where he and his Beartic saved Ash and his friends from a falling boulder. Cilan was the first to recognize him as a famous movie star who had the lead role in many movies up until he decided to quit acting. Brycen later explained that he had chosen to quit acting because of an accident during the filming of another movie.

In the Pokémon Adventures manga

In Movie Panic, it was revealed that Sabrina had become a star actress at the Pokéstar Studios. Using one of her Alakazam's Spoons of Destiny, she guided the reluctant Whitley to perform in a Brycen-Man movie. During the filming, Whitley played the heroine, while Brycen, who had returned to being a movie actor, played the movie's titular villain.
