Release information
This card was initially created for Pokémon Trading Card Game for the Game Boy Color. In Japan, a physical print was later made available as an insert with the February 1999 issue of CoroCoro Comic. It has a "GB" symbol in the bottom right corner of the artwork to indicate it was created exclusively for the game. The English version of the card was included with Pokémon Trading Card Game. Cat Punch's effect on this print was slightly altered, as it was considered too vague; however, the effect wasn't changed within the game. The HP on this print is slightly farther left than normal. A Non Holofoil version of the English print was released in Japan as part of a pre-paid pass pack made available during the Pokémon Stamp Rally 2000, held in August 2000.
Trivia
Meowth's level on the physical card is listed as LV. 13 although it is LV. 14 in the game.
Origin
This card's physical Pokédex entry comes from Pokémon Red and Blue. The in-game English Pokédex entry comes from Pokémon Yellow, while the Japanese entry comes from Pokémon Blue; both are slightly reworded.
