It isn't working.--Liquid ICE (User:Cold)(page, talk) 05:02, 18 October 2009 (UTC)

Oh, so it's not just me that has the glitch. Others have been saying that it works fine, though... ~ solaris 05:03, 18 October 2009 (UTC)
Should be working for just about everyone now. -- Jïörüjï Ðērākō.>.cнаt^ 05:07, 18 October 2009 (UTC)
Interesting. It's been like that for a year or so now. —darklordtrom 05:19, 18 October 2009 (UTC)

A craaaaazy request

Could we possibly add something telling people not to refresh/resubmit when they get 504's, for the time being? 梅子 17:12, 30 March 2010 (UTC)

Animal Crossing Wiki link

Over at my Animal Crossing Wiki talk page, Jake suggested that we change the header to welcome ACW to NIWA. The current message is actually Yesterday now, so it should be changed. --SnorlaxMonster 08:20, 22 November 2010 (UTC)

I was going to put ACW up there but couldn't resist celebrating a handful of game releases first. —darklordtrom 08:24, 22 November 2010 (UTC)

Do not add any trivia

Noone seems to understand this note. They think it prohibits adding anything to the Trivia section rather that preventing small edits. If someone ignores this and adds some trivia (even valid one), someone else is always there to remove it because it's strictly prohibited only to make another small edit by reverting changes. Like this and this. Maybe reword it to something like: "Don't make unneeded edits, like adding small Trivia"? — ∀ЫъГѣTalk page 08:21, 11 May 2011 (UTC)

The wording is specifically adding because that's what we don't want. Clarifying unclear trivia or removing/correcting incorrect trivia and so on is perfectly okay. That said, if it's a valid trivium that gets added there's no need to remove it just because of the site notice. We're just trying to reduce the amount of non-notable trivia added at this busy time. Werdnae (talk) 09:27, 11 May 2011 (UTC)

It's gone.

The notice doesn't seem to be appearing on any pages. Is anyone else experiencing this? If so, is it intentional? -- GoldenCelebi 16:33, 14 June 2012 (UTC)

I can't get the same thing on any skin, in FireFox, Chrome, or Internet Explorer. Try refreshing your cache and checking any blocking addons that you've got? If that still doesn't fix it, can you give me as much information as possible (Browser, Skin (from your preferences), etc.) Werdnae (talk) 21:17, 14 June 2012 (UTC)
I tried everything you said, it didn't work. Left the computer for a few minutes, came back, it was here again. Something to do with the MediaWiki update, possibly? (Firefox 12 / Monobook, BTW) -- GoldenCelebi 21:14, 15 June 2012 (UTC)
I got another report of the same thing and was able to figure out what wasn't working properly. Should have noted here that I fixed it. Werdnae (talk) 00:26, 16 June 2012 (UTC)

X and Y are next in the series

Will you please change:

YES, Generation VI is confirmed. PLEASE DO NOT ADD SPECULATION TO PAGES. As soon as information is confirmed by a reliable source, it will be added.
Please remember to follow the manual of style and code of conduct at all times. Check BNN and Bulbanews for up-to-date Pokémon news and discuss it on the forums or irc channel #bulbapedia.

Actually, please change:

Due to a security issue, users are highly recommended to change their password on the Bulbagarden forums, and change passwords on any other accounts that use the same one (particularly the connected email address).

I think it would be better to wait until the Security issue announcement ends on the 29th before we change the Sitenotice since there could be users that aren't on often and did not hear about the issue and there is suppose to be an update that tells us what happened in the future. --Super goku (talk) 18:00, 16 July 2013 (UTC)

Cramped

Hey, not sure where you guys are at with server load at the moment but would it be possible to have the three messages in the current sitenotice rotate on a switch? IMO it would be cleaner to have only one line of text, and I assume you don't want to get rid of any of them at this time. —darklordtrom 07:04, 10 February 2015 (UTC)

I don't think we should use a time switch in the main header. There are three messages because we want people to see all three; if we rotate them, they only see one. --SnorlaxMonster 11:33, 11 February 2015 (UTC)
Fair enough. I do think that if they view enough pages then they'll eventually see all of them. It could also be possible to shift the manual of style/code of conduct message onto the editing screen so it's more visible to people when they're editing. —darklordtrom 08:16, 12 February 2015 (UTC)
