The mayor of a small town is a character of the day who appeared in Wake Up Snorlax!.

The Mayor
After Ash and his friends entered the town looking for food, the mayor took them in and provided them with a meal. As they were eating, the mayor explained the town's river had gone dry, and they didn't have any food as a result. Ash and the others decided to investigate, and they found a Snorlax had fallen asleep and was blocking the water from filling the river. Thanks to a hippie and his Poké Flute, the Snorlax moved out of the way and the town's water supply was restored. The mayor thanked the children by giving them a banquet.
