In Japan, Marill and Togepi were the first Generation II Pokémon to be featured on a Pokémon card and the first to feature the aesthetic changes made to the cards in the Neo Era, released some six months before Gold, Silver, to a New World.... This remained true for the English print of this card, released approximately a week before Neo Genesis.

Origin

Water Gun is a move in the Pokémon games that Marill can learn. This card's Pokédex entry comes from Pokémon Gold.
