When a missed {{m|Shadow Ball}} from {{un|Angie}}'s {{p|Liepard}} hit the machine, it was broken, freeing the controlled Pokémon.

That simple act left them extremely loyal to him. In the {{series|Best Wishes!}}, this relationship was shown to have carried on, as seen in [[BW122]], where he managed to convince them into joining the final battle against Team Plasma.
