This is a reverse-chronological list of Nintendo event Pokémon for all regions that were given away for the Generation I games.

Pokémon 2000 Stadium Tour Mew

All people who attended the Pokémon 2000 Stadium Tour could receive a Mew by downloading one from a distribution machine. These came with a certificate of authenticity, which included the Pokémon's ID number.

Toys "R" Us Mew

The first 1500 customers at each Toys "R" Us store around the United States received a special 'Peel & Win' sticker card. 200 at each store contained the text "Caught Me!" underneath, which allowed the player to receive a Mew.

This promotion gave away no more than 1000 Mew. 1000 prizes were given away, but players who did not have a Pokémon game cartridge received a T-shirt instead. Players needed to submit an application to Nintendo Power for a chance to win Mew.

Nintendo Space World Mew

At this distribution, players connected their game cartridge to a distribution device. On-screen, a visual of a Mew traveling through a cable to the player's game would appear. To receive a Mew, players had to submit an application postcard.
