In [[HZ047]], Liko and her friends arrive in Cortondo for her test with Katy. The group had a delicious meal at katy's patisserie cafe where they encountered Murdoch who was working there part time to earn money for the Rising Volt Tacklers, Liko soon encountered Coral again who was in a petty argument with katy over sweets. Katy was only free to test only one of them that day, so Coral tries to challenge Liko to a battle but Katy suggests a baking contest instead. Liko and Floragato ended up winning the contest with a well made matcha cake thanks to guidance from Murdoch, whereas Coral lost and was kicked out by Katy due to her volatile actions. During the battle with Katy, Liko struggled to instruct Floragato in attacking Teddiursa due to Katy's tactic of sweet scent and charm distracting her partner, Liko then came up with a plan to use magical leaf to clear away sweet scent and allows Floragato to hit Teddiursa. Liko then terastallizes Floragato into a grass type which allows her partner to deal more damage to her opponent's Pokémon, however to Liko's shock Katy terastallizes her Teddiursa into a bug type which renders Floragato's grass type attacks ineffective, before defeating it with a tera boosted fury cutter and causing Liko to lose the match. Liko then apologizes to Floragato for their loss, but Katy assures Liko that she still passed the test on basics, due to her strong bond with her Pokémon and use of terastallization in an appropriate time and that winning or losing the match did not matter, much to Liko's relief. Afterwards, Liko and her friends prepare to head to Artazon for Roy's rematch with Brassius. | |||
