Kenji Okubo

Kenji Okubo is the current leader of The Pokémon Company International, and oversees all Pokémon initiatives outside of territorial Japan, including North American and European licensing, the Trading Card Game and the animated TV series.

Career

After working for The Pokémon Company in Tokyo as director of international business, Kenji Okubo joined Pokémon USA in 2004. He soon climbed the career ladder to become executive vice-president, and, on January 1, 2009, became president of the company after the former president, Akira Chiba, resigned. When, in April 2009, Pokémon USA and Pokémon UK merged, Kenji Okubo became the administrative head.
