Trivia

  • Kabuto and Kabutops learn Hydro Pump only in Generation I. As of Generation II, they are no longer able to learn this move by any means.
  • Lugia is the only non-Water-type to learn Hydro Pump by level-up, with the exception of Castform who can be a Water-type.
    • Bagon is the only non-Water-type to learn Hydro Pump through breeding.
  • In all 3D games, Hydro Pump is represented as a thick blast of water. When any Pokémon uses it, a single stream is shown, however, when Blastoise uses this move, two streams are fired at the target.
