(Japanese: ヒロシ Hiroshi) is a character of the day who appeared in Curbing the Crimson Tide!.
He and his friends were confronted by Red Lightning, who challenged them to a Pokémon battle. Despite his friends' warnings, Hiroshi accepted and called out his Poliwag. Red Lightning won quickly, however, and scribbled on Poliwag's face afterwards. When he took Poliwag to the Pokémon Center, he ran into Ash and his friends, which alerted them to Red Lightning's antics.

| Poliwag was sent out to battle Red Lightning. However, it was quickly defeated as Red Lightning's speed proved too much to handle. Afterwards, Red Lightning scribbled on its face as a sign of its loss.
