GrassWhistle (Japanese: くさぶえ Grass Flute) is a non-damaging Template:Type2 move introduced in Generation III.

Effect

GrassWhistle puts the target to sleep. It will not affect a target that already has a major status ailment, a Substitute, or Insomnia, Vital Spirit, or Soundproof as their ability.

  Sunflora puts its leaf into its mouth and blows into it. It then moves its leaf back and forth and its whole body starts to glow white.

  Snover picks up a blade of grass, puts it up to its mouth and starts blowing on it. The blade of grass starts to glow green, and when the opponent hears the music, it falls asleep.
