It's an ancient ruin said to have been around for centuries. Its inhabitants make sure its traditions remain unchanged and take their jobs very seriously. The leader of this zone is Rayquaza.

After leaving the Haunted Zone, Piplup announces that the hot air balloon found in the Beach Zone has been repaired and is capable of taking the team to the Sky Pavilion as soon as they learn its location. The player then sets off to the Granite Zone to learn the Sky Pavilion's whereabouts. When the player first arrives, Charizard warns the player that only a chosen few may make it past the ruins and enter the Sky Pavilion. The player is then challenged to Absol's Hurdle Bounce, which will grant them access to the rest of the ruin. The player then meets a Flygon guarding a gateway to the rest of the ruins. Flygon explains that the player must learn three secret words before they can pass through to the other side. Clearing various puzzles, the player meets Porygon-Z as well as a Togekiss that teach him the secret words "LOVE" and "PEACE". The player learns that a Snorlax is the keeper of the third secret word, "RAINBOW". After all three words have been passed to the player, Flygon will then let the player pass through the gate where they must then clear Salamence's Air Ace. Jumpluff will let the player continue on to the Flower Zone once they complete the attraction.
