Gallade (Pokémon): Difference between revisions

The single fin on Gallade's head resembles the helmet worn by {{wp|Murmillo|Murmillo-class}} Roman {{wp|Gladiator|gladiators}} or the {{wp|Corinthian helmet}} (with a horsehair crest) that was worn by Greek {{wp|Hoplite|hoplites}}. He may also be based on medieval {{wp|Knight|knights}}. Additionally, his  battle stances (depicted in-game and in artwork) resemble the ''en garde'' position and parries of {{wp|Fencing|modern fencing}}. In addition, the extension of the blades on his forearms, as well as his overall appearance may be a veiled reference to {{the Guyver}}.
