Pokémon to the Rescue! is the first chapter of the Pokémon Mystery Dungeon: Ginji's Rescue Team manga.
Synopsis
A boy named Ginji falls asleep out of fatigue looking for his birthday present and wakes up as a Torchic. After meeting a Mudkip, the two enter a fissure to rescue a Pokémon crying for help.
They are attacked by many Pokémon on the way, such as Sunkern, Wurmple, and Rattata but Ginji burns them to a crisp with Flamethrower. They find the Pokémon that was crying for help, which is a Caterpie trapped on top of a tall rock.
As they went to get Caterpie, a shot of silk hits Ginji. As Ginji untangles himself from the silk, Mudkip attacks with Water Gun against the Ariados that shot Ginji with Spider Web. Then Ginji attacks Ariados with Flamethrower and knocks it out. As they return Caterpie out of the fissure, Mudkip asks if they can make a rescue team and Ginji says he will think about it.
